Licensing

Standard Edition

The Standard Edition will cost $175 for the first production server and $100 per each production server thereafter within your own organization.  You can use the Auto FE Updater for 15 days.   After 15 days you must either delete it from your system and servers or pay the license fee.    

The Auto FE Updater utility can be installed and used on test or development servers without paying any additional license fee. 

Professional Edition

The Professional version is designed for consultants and independent software vendors.  This will include the ability to download application updates from your web server, unzip the files and distribute them within your clients PCs.    Licensing system and fees to be determined when these features are available which will be soon. 

Enterprise Edition 

The Auto FE Updater license fee for the Enterprise Edition features is $475 for the first production server, $200 for each subsequent production server thereafter within your own organization.   Upgrades from the Professional Edition to the Enterprise Edition are the difference in price between the two licenses.  No extra fees.

Terminal Server or Citrix systems executing the Auto FE Updater from another file server do not require additional licensing.   In other words the license qualifies the Auto FE Updater utility and configuration files to live on the number of servers for which you've purchased licensing.   I  don't care how many Access applications, users, or work environments are served from the server(s).  

Software upgrades

Your license will be able to use all versions of the utility published for the first year after license purchase.    To use new versions published after that date will require purchasing of an annual subscription which will be 50% of the original license fee or the current license fee whichever is lower.   You will still be able to use any version of the Auto FE Updater published before your subscription expiry.

Trial license

If you would like a fifteen or thirty day trial license email me at .   Organization name would be nice but not required. I will not give your email address out to anyone. I might send an announcement email once or twice a year.

Small network or non profit group?

Email me at with a few details and we'll negotiate a reduced license fee.  

Method of payment

Payment can be made via cheque, PayPal, credit cards via PayPal or by wire transfer.  Note that as the banking system from your country to mine charges me $25 for a wire transfer regretfully that has to be added to price.

If you want to use PayPal you can use the PayPal box to the right.  Alternatively email me at with your corporation name and address and the number of servers.  I will have PayPal send you a request for payment. 

Upon payment notification from PayPal I will email you a license number along with an invoice in a PDF file.   The license number will allow you to download an encrypted license file so you can immediately see your organization name in the forms in the Auto FE Updater utility   

Cheque

Email me at with your corporation name and address and the number of servers.   I will email you a PDF file with an invoice and a temporary license number good for 60 days.   The license number will allow you to download an encrypted license file so you can immediately use the Auto FE Updater utility without the reminder screens.  You will also see your organization name in the forms in the Auto FE Updater utility    If your native currency is not in US dollars then a roughly approximate amount in your local currency is just fine.
